Join the Library

At the Library you will find books, electronic resources and other useful tools, discover study spaces and get the guidance you need.

The Library introduces you to all of this through seminars starting from your first semester.

Visit its website check its announcements for the seminar schedule (Rethymno – Heraklion) and attend one of them.

Remember that attendance is mandatory in order to join the Library and activate your right to borrow books and/or other material for all the years of your studies.

There are two offices serving students, one on each campus, in Rethymno and Heraklion. Each serves the students of the University of Crete Departments/Schools in that city.

The University of Crete Gyms in Rethymno and Heraklion offer a modern, safe and welcoming sports environment for students, staff and members of the wider community.

The Heraklion Gym has an indoor 25-metre swimming pool, a sports hall and a fitness room, with equipment for swimming, team sports, aerobic exercise and strength training.

The facilities are designed with a focus on comfort, safety and accessibility.

Scholarships

The University of Crete and other public and private bodies offer scholarships and financial support for different stages and fields of study. Through the Career and Liaison Office you can stay informed about available opportunities and new calls.

Requirements and criteria vary by scholarship, so it is important to follow the relevant announcements and, for specialized scholarships, to also contact your Department's Secretariat.

Internship is an important part of the education offered by the University.
